Bring Your Event Page To Life
How to Utilize Backstage Design
Published: 02/12/2019Your first impression is important. A sleek design and enticing event details can help sell an experience and drive ticket sales. Whether you’re hosting a small workshop or a large festival, Backstage possesses powerful design tools to customize your event page and separate your event from the rest.
Why Does Design Matter?
Appearance builds trust. The event page is an opportunity to define your identity and immediately connect with your audience. A potential ticket buyer is far more likely to engage with an event that looks legitimate and relatable. We’ve always said that the event starts with the ticket buying experience and we want to make that as easy and as awesome as possible and that starts with your design.
1. The Simple Setup
Don’t forget the essentials.
Event Poster
The poster is the first image that appears on mobile, which drives 70% of ticket sales. Even if you don’t have a proper flyer or you choose to hide for design purposes (more on that later), make sure to upload an image under Event Poster, since that will be how people first find and see you on NIGHTOUT.com and our app if you choose to list your event.
Event Description
Provide essential information and hype up exciting features of an event here. More information the better to increase SEO.
Utilize the toolbar to insert a video/image/file, edit font size/color, or input your own custom html.
Location
Ensure your event pops up in searches of your city. Also avoid headaches from lost customers by providing the venue location on the event page.
Category
What type of event are you hosting? Select a category so it shows up on the NIGHTOUT discovery page.
2. The Theme Builder (Advanced)
Adding a Background Image brings your brand to the forefront.
- The Fullscreen layout option: Make your tickets pop with a background image neatly framing your event details. To activate go to: Page tab → Design → + New Theme → Upload Background Image{: .present-before-paste}
- Ticket Separators: Helps outline different packages and break up the ticket list.{: .present-before-paste}
- Ticket images: Include images of any VIP packages, tables, and more{: .present-before-paste}
- Page Colors: Give your event page some color with our page, ticket box, and text color options.{: .present-before-paste}
- Event Banner: Hide the poster and showcase your event banner instead (we suggest using your logo)
- Custom CSS: If you really want to get fancy, we also have the option to input your own custom html code{: .present-before-paste}
